What is a dynamometer test?

A dynamometer test measures the torque and rotational speed of an engine. This allows our trained service technicians to evaluate the engine, detect any faults and replace them with genuine parts.

What is detected during the test?

• Any loss in the engine power – Keeping you working at the full capacity of your machine.
• Detection of faults in the fuel delivery system – Reduce any loss of fuel and increase engine efficiency
• Any cooling system faults or malfunctions – Prevent your engine from overheating, causing potential engine damage.
• Transmission and drivetrain faults – Increase engine efficiency.

Adjustments after the testing:

• Mechanical repairs and replacement parts. – We always use genuine parts during any service, ensuring long-lasting quality repairs.
• Engine optimisation based on tractor usage.
• Fault finding.

When should you put your machine in for a dynamometer test:

We recommend pre-season dynamometer testing to ensure your machine is performing at its maximum capacity. This ensures no excess fuel is used due to engine underperformance and reduces the chance of breakdowns due to engine faults. Your machine manual will recommend specific service intervals for all testing. However if in doubt contact your local Service Manager.
